cannot connect to counterstrike.....

I just got the D-link DI704 router and I hooked my Roadrunner cable modem to the router and the router to my NIC. Everything works fine except when I go on Counterstrike, I cannot connect to any server. Is there any software adjustment I need to do? Thanks.
