Cannot change my email address.

I keep trying to update my email address in my profile. The address listed will be de-activated in about one month. I am able to change the email address on the profile screen and update the information. Then I get a message that says my temporary password will be emailed to the address I just added in the profile and I am logged of the system. I then check my email account and nothing. Not even a day later. So, today I try using a different email address, a domain that I have registered, so that I can check all spam filters and turn them off. Still nothing. By the way, neither of the account were hotmail, msn, aol, etc. The first one I tried was a Comcast account. The second was a "kukos.net" account. I can still log in with my old credentials, but my Suscom email address is still associated with my user name. I've turned off all auto-delete filters and have check all junk folders associated with both email accounts.

Let me know if there is something more I can do. My Suscom account goes away in about a month and I want to keep my account info accurate.

It may be a security setting on your machine.
Easiest thing is to send a polite PM to the Mods and ask them to do it for you if turning off your firewall/Norton's, etc doesn't do it.

I swapped mine from suscom to comcast several weeks ago w/o a problem. It is definitely something on your system--do you have some kind of filter on that would block email from anadtech? Try logging into webmail and see if the spam filter is catching it.
 
Got it! Thanks for the replies. I knew that I had all filters turned off except local ones, and nothing was set to auto delete. So, it wasn't filters. I even have the Norton Antivirus email filter turned off. However, when oldsmoboat mentioned Norton it reminded me that I had an issue where I couldn't change my avatar unless I turned off Norton first. So, I tried to turn it off after clicking on the profile link , but before clicking "update profile". No good.

Solution:

Turn off Antivirus software BEFORE clicking on the profile link. Worked like a charm.
