cannot activate winXP pro AND windows updates don't work

i get error 32777 cannot connect, but as you can see by this post my internet is working fine

i finally called and activated online, but even now, windows updates dont' work.. just says "no new updates" but i've never ran it before

what the hecK?

any ideas?

If you have a firewall, disable it - restart your PC and try again.

Windows XP also has a natural firewall, you may want to check that out too.

Good Luck if it's not a firewall.
