Cannot Access other computer on network

So i have two computers on a network, I just reformatted one of them and now i can't access it. On the computer that has been working on try to log onto the freshly formatted one and i get the message "logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer". The freshly reformatted computer just gets back the message access is denied. On the reformatted machine. I have disabled simple file sharing, disabled windows firewall, I have set it on the correct workgroup, i enabled file and printer sharer, i enabled guest account. Anyone have any idea what is going on. Or honestly i am willing to start over if it will help. Thanks.

*Edit*
So i ran the net view command through c prompt and the formatted computer is able to see all the items that the good computer is sharing, but when i go to run and type \\compname\foldername i still get back the error access is denied. Hope this info sheds some more light.

Have you tried logging in as the administrator on both machines? If you can ping each computer logged in as admin, then its a permissions issue with the guest account. What is your current network setup as? Window$, Linux, Novell Suse?

they are both windows xp pro machine, and yes i can ping back and forth and even do a net view on each.

*edit Again*

So now if i put this into the run command \\ipaddress\ and that's it i can see the folder of what it is sharing but i get access is denied when i try to access any of the folders.

So after trying a new work group name I can view workgroup computers but when the good computer computer tries to double click on the other computers icon i get the logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer error message. Also the formatted computer gets access denied. What might be causing the security problem. I closed firewall and antivirus. I have given everyone full control permission and guest account is enabled what else might be happeneing?

Do you have the same exact user accounts and passwords on each machine?

You need to have the same accounts on each machine for access from one to the other.

Ignore the freaking work group...it has nothing to do with the problems, and (IMHO) has nothing to do with file sharing.

you need to correct your permissions issues, by syncing logged in usernames/passwords on both machines, and the Sharing security, and NTFS security.

Yeah the workgroup was the original issue but that is fine the issue is somewhere with permissions and security and i can't find out where the problem is. I will be checking alot of this when i get home from work.
