Cannot Access/Delete Files/Folders as Administrator

Alright, heres whats goin on...I just installed my 4th hard drive and decided to reinstal my OS once again. Everything technicaly is fine, however, I couldn't open the old "my documents" folder, or for that matter, my old user folder located within "Documents and Settings\myname". I managed after 4 hours to get into safe mode and goof around with the security settings to allow myself to have full accesss. Before I did that, I used WD"s data lifeguard tools to copy over the directory on my C:\ Drive...now I can access the origional D:\ folder, but the one I copied WILL NOT delete unless I delete each file within the folders first...and on top of that it takes 3 min to delete 3 5kb files >_<

if anyone knows how to fix this any help is appreciated

thanks on the quick reply...but 🙁

I could swear I just did that, the problem is no longer trying to access the files, but I need to delete the copies I made. For instance, I have a 3 layer folder ex: C:\apple\juice\fish\yum.txt - I cannot delete the "Apple" folder unless I first go ALL the way to yum.txt and delete it first, then I must delete the "fish" folder before it lets me delete "juice"...etc...and microsoft tech support is all offshore now so they've been no help at all >_<

is this still an ownership issue?
