Here's a report The Motley Fool that Intel is apparently working on 4/6/8 core Cannonlakes.

Or maybe the Cache Coherence Protocols the engineer is mentioning is aimed at the Cannonlake E ?

You're a bit TOO late.

Besides, since they specifically mention a 4/6/8 Cores SoC, chances are that it is a Xeon D Broadwell replacement (Which is a 4/8 Core SoC) and not mainstream consumer.
