Hey,
I know there is a recent thread on this deal but this is a updated deal. You can get the Cannon G2 for $550!

Here it is:

1. Buy the camera from Dell.com using coupons (found at major coupon sites)
2. The total should be just under $700
3. Pricematch it with this ad [link deleted]
4. There you have it....one of the best cameras ever! Cnet.com #1 pick!

As I hear the new update for Amex Blue takes place May 1st. So you can make this deal!

have fun!

**Note you can get the G2 for the total price of $697 at dell.com w/coupons. This is probably the BEST deal on the camera!!**(just in case the pm w/ amex doesn't work)

---

This is not a legitimate price match because A&M's cameras are grey market units, NOT retail. Since this is a regular occurance on our forums, we ask our members to make no further price match posts for this company.

Thank you,

FYI: There appears to be a hairline crack on a lot of the G2's. Doesn't seem like it would affect performance, but there's a lot of discussion here

AMEX threw me a humdinger. They refused to honor the now notiorious $549 pricematch. They said that they calld the site and found the true price. Good luck to all of you who bought high and wanted to PM. They said that as of 5 days ago they were aware fo the problem and are NOT goign to honor it.

god, you guys just dont get it.

i called A&M 2 months ago to confirm that this camera is a retail package with a full US warranty. its not. every single deal posted in this forum focuses on PM'ing retail full US warranty cameras to 7 day warranty gray market ones.

if its cheap and its from A&M its gray market. i've said it way too many times.

Is it pointless to try to PM a digital camera w/ AmexBlue, then?

I purchased a G2 about a week ago and love the camera so far! Worth every bit of $549! Buy at Dell, and PM with Popular Photography, March or April '02
