canned chicken

My teenager was supposed to get tuna at the store but he accidentally brought back some canned chicken.

Does anybody use canned chicken for anything? Chicken salad sandwich? Or maybe mix it with ramen or something?

I could take it back to the store and exchange it, but I figured I'd ask around first - it's food, right? How bad can it be?

canned chicken totally reminds me of tuna fish. use it just the same.

Chicken Enchiladas possibly. I think my mom made that with canned chicken from costco

Actually instead of mayo use ranch dressing.

I was at Costco last weekend and as usual they have all their samples and this was one of them. The lady used Ranch and wrapped them in some kind of wheat wrap and it was damn good.

I like to use canned chicken for my enchiladas as well. Canned chicken is alright, just don't expect greatness. It is not the same as freshly cooked chicken.

I used to get some Tyson's canned chicken and I'd brown it in a skillet then mix it in with some microwaved Uncle Ben's rice. It wasn't half bad.

It's not great... but not bad. Definitely better than tuna in a can and not quite as dry. I usually just add tobasco sauce to it and eat out of the can. Last night I actually had some.... but put it in some Progresso Tomato Basil Soup and melted cheese on top - that was surprisingly good and somewhat healthy.

I don't recall the brand, but I bought some one time to make chicken salad. It was horrible, but it was very bland.

To sum it all up... canned chicken is GOOD if you find something to put it in that will MASK the actual taste.

It's better than you'd expect. I always keep some in the pantry for quick chicken salad, etc.

I use it with Tuna Helper. I get the ones from costco. Good source of protein.

yep, thats how I use it too. It's alright for a quick snack.

I cook it with some tomato sauce/juice and onions to give it some flavor. It's usually dry but that gives it some moisture and flavor.
