That's taking innocent until proven guilty to a whole 'nother level for the Alabamans. I wonder if isolationism and the insulative effects it causes in certain parts of their state that has something to do with that occurrence.

Worth keeping a tab on to see how this plays itself out.

Incorrect thread title.

He has NOT been elected.

He did win the primary.

The general election is not until November, and if found guilty by then, he will not be allowed to serve..

Andrew Wilhoite, 40, of Lebanon [Indiana] received 60 of the 276 total votes on Tuesday for Republicans for three positions on the Clinton township board, Boone county election results showed.

Out of how many people?

Clinton Township is one of twelve townships in Boone County, Indiana. As of the 2010 census, its population was 886

I am assuming they at least heard about the murder....
At first I would suggest 60 votes is hardly a show of confidence... but, in that place it is enough to win. So.... backwater !@#$hole? Dunno....

No, it's not an incorrect threat title.

He won the primary, which is done thru an election process where republican's vote on a candidate. The Republican's elected him to represent them in the General election. He won the Primary election, now he has the General election to go.

Don't forget there were only three candidates for the 3 positions. No democrats ran.
Do you know why there was no Democrats who ran in the Republican Primary? Answer: It's because it's a Republican Primary, you will find the Democrats in the Democrat Primary! I know, hard to rap your head around such a basic concept.

Did I say they ran in the Republican primary? No Democrats ran in the Democratic primary - 8 elected positions had no candidate. Almost seems like the Republicans will be running unopposed.

What other election would we be talking about since the Republican Primary about the 3 town board positions, is the only one being talked about in the article? Why would anyone assume you weren't talking about the Republican Primary when it's the only one being discussed? Nothing about the democrats, nothing about 8 elected positions was even mentioned. So anything about the democrats is irrelevant. From your quote below, it seems you knew it wasn't for 8 elected positions.. but just the 3 town board positions. So it's pretty safe to say you did read the article and you knew it only talked about the Republican Primary. So yeah!! Way to try to substantiate irrelevancy.

He wasn't the best. He got the lowest number of votes, but since there were only 3 people running for 3 positions you're automatically in.

Evidently you didn't read the article. "No Democrats have filed for the board." is in the article.

I did read the article. I admit I missed that one sentence. However, it has as much relevance in the article, as you bringing it up in this discussion. Which is it's not relevant at all, not here and not in the article. I find it interesting that the one irrelevant sentence in the whole article, which is a sign of a lousy journalist, is what you latched on to.

There sure are a lot of lousy journalists out there mentioning it.
