i had an account spending limit and they suddenly decided to charge a fee for having a spending limit unless you had automatic bill payments from your bank account. i called and told them i wasn't going to pay it and they need to get rid of my spending limit. whenever i set up my service with sprint, i didn't have any credit, so i got a spending limit on my account. now that i have credit, they removed it. so, no fee charged.

lol, I had a spending limit since 1999. I just signed up for auto-payments to keep the fee from affecting me.

The reason I don't want the limit to go away is (just in case) I go nuts with their data plan, and go billlions of dollars over...lol

I plan on tethering my phone as soon as I figure out how. (HTC Hero, already rooted.)

yeah, i used that to bring my bill down $20/mo for two years. pretty damn nice. i only pay $60/mo now, just like when i did with the sero plan... except i can use my palm pre.

I was actually hoping they'd offer me the $20/month discount like you and others got offered, but my CSR just went ahead and ended my contract and put me on month to month. I have no intention of switching right now as I like my Palm Pre a lot, but nice to be out of the contract all the same.

I work for ATT and as long as sprint knows why you are cancelling you will be fine.
