I have time warner cable and RR cable internet in my apt.
last sept., one fine night, I called them at 3.00am to cancel our cable tv services. I just had a big figt with my gf and wanted to cancel anything and everything I could think off.
by the time I put the phone down, this was the package I got:
$80/month gets me digital cable + DVR + HBO + RoadRunner internet + 5 free OnDemand movie coupon.
got this deal for 1 full year.
with DVR, I don't watch LIVE tv but I record so many shows that I end up watching a lot of tv anyways. just NO commercials.
This might get me flamed but ever since I stopped watching those food, car and movie commercials, it has had a direct bearing on my shopping instincts.
I don't feel like going out and buying stuff, eating out all the time or worry about how outdated my car is.....I, for one think that not watching commericals has something to do with this......

I have abso no idea what I will do when this deal ends in august.
I think it calls for another drunken night come august!!!

sometimes u can still split a line off the modem and hook it up to a tv, or back into your entire house 🙂 depending on if they install filters or not, or u can pep the filter off, either way, i dont reccomend it or do it, but a few of my pressed for cash college buddies have been getting free cable this way.

TWC is pretty expensive, but I love the HDTV offerings and the iControl. I wish I could drop everything between HGTV and UNC HD though. The digital tier is useless. I shouldn't have to pay for the entire digital tier to get HDTV channels.

Ooh they are so generous in offering not one, but TWO shopping channels in their basic lineup.

Technically 3 if you count the Home buyers channel...
3 Shopping channels
6 Network channels I can get with rabbit ears already
2 public access/programming stations
1 channel in a different language...

Where do I sign up???

WGN wouldn't be that bad if I was a Cubs fan, I can already get several of the channels not listed because they fall outside of the restrictor that they put on the line. Clearer channels might be a perk, but not for 14

no cable here...only thing available is satellite and my complex charges a major premium over DirecTV's normal charges. Plus no special features.

Once I move I'll get a DirecTivoHD 🙂
