Planning a field trip to Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village for August 16th. If anyone wants to go, please let me know. I know the whole Cedar Point thing kinda blew up, but this will be mostly indoors, so weather can't hamper us this time. 😀

Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village website!

Admission is $14 per person for the Museum, $18 for Greenfield Village, or $24 for admission to both the museum and the village. Bring your money to pay at the door as we'll see how many is there to figure out if we can get a discount or not. I can't guarentee that I'll get group fair for us, but if I can pull it off, I will. It would be safe to asume that you'll need about $150 total with you that day for admission, food, and spending money should you want to get anything as a souvenier. The shops in Greenfield Village have some jams and mustards to die for!! I'm gonna get a bunch myself when I go there. 🙂

Hours are 9:00am-5:00pm which is plenty of time. If you don't stall too long at each display you can do the museum in 3 hours, the village in 4 and still have an hour for anything you want to do before the place closes. Don't worry about getting pics. You'll have plenty of time at each stop. I've done both the museum and the village in 6 hours total, so I know if we took our time we could still be done in 8 hours without a problem.

If you want to go, please post here. We'll work out who will meet who where later.

Greenfield Village is a lot of outdoors walking to get from site to site. However, both the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village are great places to visit.

The Henry Ford Museum is neat, and this should be stickied!

Bump since my parents used to live there and the museum is cool.

*bump* just to relay update on trip.

I was planning this trip for the 16th, but then my mother reminded me about our family reunion, so that kinda kills that date for me. I'll let ya all know next time I get a working date. Sorry.

Yeah, you can bring the kids. It's got kid friendly stuff so they won't be bored. Besides, what kid won't be blown away by 200 foot tall steam engine wheels? 😀
