Canadians, your Red Cross donations are tax deductible if you go through the Canadian organization - so if you're a bit tight on cash you can still donate a few extra bux. You can direct your donations toward the aid effort in the US if you want, but I just donated to the Red Cross in general.

You can donate by phone or by mail. Note that you can also donate online, but I would avoid this for now since I did it this way, but the tax receipt I got back was gibberish. My guess is that they don't encode file attachments in a way that my excitemail account likes.
