I saw a guy on Much Music this morning - he is a rep for the communist party and I couldn't help but laughing at him. Even the host seemed like she wanted to go away and say "Oh. My. God." When he was done.

Its quite interesting/laughable to hear people promote political systems that are so darn bad!

Hehehe, yup. The Natural Law Party takes the cake though, at least the Commies would try and do something besides "yogic flying". :)

voting for the commies is all fine and dandy but the real question is: "Are YOU on the voter's list?" ;)

Our whole evolutionary history was communistic. Only in modern times have we developed the cult of the individual. Poor lonely, stuffed full of our own self importance, us.

Communism is fine at the village scale that is seen in history. Not on a national or world scale.

Moonbeam:

Sorry man, but you lost my vote on this one. Communism is a failed philosophy/ideology/economic system.

But I appreciate the sentiment.

Even though capitalism produces people like Bush, I'll take it any day over a system that produced Stalin.

<< All politics is local. >>

That answer is so strange, I'm not even sure how to respond. Last time I checked, there were hundreds, nay thousands of people in Washington DC making laws that I have to follow that have never been to my town, much less met me personally.

Chess9, You don't think I was really voting for what you call Communism. I was talking about an other aspect of reality. Communism as we see it isn't communism, but a bunch of thugs with a banner holding power. I am saying we are a social animal that has gotten quite far away from a healthy social setting. I'm talking old fashioned republican values here about the family and extending that to the fact that we are all one big family.

Bober, Tip O'Neil popularized that saying. I just mentioned it cause it casts an alternative light on what you said. Don't worry, you'll like my kinda Kommunism, I just know it. Trust me. :D

As above so below.
