Canadians: Does chiropractor fees count as "medical expenses" in the tax form?

Short answer, no.

You need to have like thousands of $ in medical expenses to claim anything. I had
some prescriptions and custom wrist splints that I couldn't claim because they didn't exceed
$700 dollars.

I would think it would depend if the chiropractic work was elective, or if it was prescribed by a doctor.

I don't know for sure, but maybe you can find the answer here.

You guys are STILL working on your taxes? ON the day they are due?

You should all be proactive like me - I filed mine waaaaaaaaaaaaay back in...

yesterday.

;)

Actually I used Netfile for the first time and it seems excellent - no printing, signing, mailing, double checking everything is in there, etc. Veeeeeerrrrryyyyy niiiiiiice.

I'm using NetFile too. :) It's nice.

Took me a whopping 1/2 hour to file mine and my sister's. Now I just need to verify the info and send it off.

BTW, can I claim the tuitions I didn't claim from last year on this year's files? This is for schedule 11. The first entry asks me for "Unused tuition and education amounts from your 2000 Notice of Assessment or Reassessment."

Yeah. I'm not gonna bother.

I just claimed my tuition and I'm gonna get $1200+ back in tax return. Nice. :D

yes it is claimable but you may not have enough medical expenses to claim it because you need the more than 3% of your income (in medical expenses) or $1678 (whichever is less).
