I have been to Toronto once and yes they have milk in bags there it's like a bag of milk with 3 milk bags inside :awe:..........strange......strange .........land. Once I got to a country called Quebec and stopped at the first gas station and saw a sign Beaver Tails for sale I just turned around and went home. BTW they have like half the flavours of chips that civilized countries have.
I was also surprised how malnourished they looked most of them where like half the size we were.

I guess it depends heavily on what you are looking for. I tend to stick to the ones I know, close to home in the hood, or pubs. I wouldn't necessarily recommend them (unless you are interested in Vietnamese!).

Honestly I don't go out for food often enough to be a good critic. And when I do go out with friends, I don't actually pay attention to the names of the places we're eating at. But give me some types of food and I'll find a good one for you! :)

what the fook is this!? hijacking my thread, eh? take it to PM,

I never really questioned the bag thing, but now that I think about it, I don't really know why we have it in bags and not jugs like everything else. I was thinking maybe it's more green, but not really. People are less likely to recycle a bag than a jug.

Okay, a bit off topic here, but i was wondering anyone here still get milk delivered to their house? I am thinking about starting this up as I cant find any places with good chocolate milk, but i found a dairy that delivers that has some good stuff.

I live in southeast ontario and that's all I've ever drank milk out of my entire life. Not sure how it can go bad when a 1L bag will be finished in a day or two.

Only had bagged milk my whole life. When I was a kid my mom used to bring out the pitcher and an extra bag to the table since my brother and I drank so much.

Every once in a while I'll be somewhere and they'll have a 4L jug (usually of chocolate bought at a convenience store), and it seems to take up an inordinate amount of fridge real estate.

I've been to Canada a few times and I have never seen bagged milk. You sure you're not just trolling?

He's serious. It's pretty common. I've yet to go into a grocery store that doesn't sell bagged milk. If you want milk by the gallon (4L to be precise), it comes in packages of three third gallon bags. Jugs are available at convenience stores, and cartons are pretty common too. They top out at 2L though.

As for it spoiling quicker, it's no different than cartons. They last awhile as long as they're kept cold. The milk usually gets drunk long before it starts to go off. At least in my house.

I guess they went with bags because it's less packaging. Who knows.

Didn't know they really did that anymore. I haven't seen delivered milk since I was a kid. We got eggs, milk, and bread delivered to the house.

i would rather use bags, we keep them at the bottom slide out compartment instead of in a huge ass jug in the main part of the fridge.
