Not to downplay mental illness. My aunt was terribly depressed for decades, and I've been thru my share of depression over the years. I even lost 30 pounds and looked a lot like skelator. IMO, depression is over diagnosed and it seems that everyone is suffering from depression today. The thing is life wasn't meant to be this easy road where you're never going to be have suffering in your life. To live is to suffer. The people you love die. The job that you wanted so badly falls apart. Your relationship with the love of your life ends. You health starts failing. You're $50k in debt. And so much more. It all a part of life. But, I've noticed that many people would rather just bitch about their problem, instead of hitting it head on. Sometimes you need to do the hardwork. Find why you're here on this earth, and take action. That's what I did. I got busy.
Just my opinion.
