Hi, does anybody know what kind of tariff, if any, will be levied against computer hardware that I mail to a friend in Canada?

I bought a graphics card for him as a birthday present but was wondering if he needed to pay any tariff.

I've only mailed documents to Canada before, and I've always put down $0 as their value.

Thanks.

Simply makes ure it's labelled as such. Gifts to friends aren't taxable or charged duties. There may be a small handling fee, but usually nothing more then 5 bucks. Of course, this also means that the package is generally subject to a lil more "rigorous" handling, but nothing that will kill it, hopefully....:)
