Wow, the auditor general's report

Saw it on the news today, sounds like the liberals are in for some crap coming up to this fall's elections. Apparently they were spending hundereds of millions of dollars on sponsorships for events that sometimes never existed, paying huge commissions to ppl who just so happened to be previous liberal party donors. On top of that, they spent $100 million+ on new bombardier jets, but never request bids from anyone else, paying inflated prices. Get this, our prime minister, (Paul Martin) was the finance minister at the time. He claims he knows nothing about this. whatever. I'm sensing a possible Conservitive government next time around.

Here is a better link, from the media. from Can West Global

Liberals are known for squandering money. But then again, so are conservatives.

how about we go one better:
The War On Waste

Just last week President Bush announced, "my 2003 budget calls for more than $48 billion in new defense spending."

More money for the Pentagon, CBS News Correspondent Vince Gonzales reports, while its own auditors admit the military cannot account for 25 percent of what it spends.
"According to some estimates we cannot track $2.3 trillion in transactions," Rumsfeld admitted.

$2.3 trillion that's $8,000 for every man, woman and child in America.

we cannot equip our soldiers with the best armor protection, pay for their flights back into the US, and give them proper health care with the VA administration but we can lost track of 2.3 trillion dollars. GREAT. thanks a lot.

per capita, we are very good at wasting. :p give us the kind of GDP you guys have, and we'd give half of it to Quebec to appease them, and spend the rest on very expensive whatevers.
