To my fellow Canucks who are gamers ... what video cards do you own, how much, and where did you get them?

I currently only have a Ti4200, and although it has served me well enough, it is starting to struggle mightily. I've been looking at 9800 pros (not top of the line, but better) that would serve for another year or so.

 to all of you.

Well I use the 9700 Pro Mobility in my notebook and it serves me quite well.. hehe...

As for picking up the latest and greatest, unless your in the GTA, Canada Computers is a great shop, otherwise I suggest NCIX.

www.ncix.com

Hope that helps.

I have an XFX 6600GT i got from NCIX for ~ $250 a while back. Pretty sweet card, I'm not overly pleased w/ the video out though. It uses a weird multi-pin plug that looks like a VIVO plug, so in order to connect it to my TV which was in the other room I needed an adapter, adding more cost to my rig. My old 9700pro had S-video out which was great. :) The BFG 6600gt's come with a breakout box which is also sweet.

9800 Pro's are getting pretty cheap. Tigerdirect.ca, NCIX, etc. I know some people don't like Tiger Direct, but I haven't had any problems with them. Might want to wing a 6600 if you can. :)

Futureshop has the ATIX800XL on sale for what... 350$ I think right now and the X850 platinum for 500 is it? I'm not sure offhand, but not bad prices for boxed ATI cards.
