Hello,

Was surfing the Future Shop page and noticed they had a pretty nice IBM Thinkpad for only $1500 CDN. It's a Celeron 500 with 64MB, 6.0GB HD, 24x CD, 12.1 TFT screen, and more.

Product Link

So what's the verdict? Hot or not?

The only problem is it's currently a special order but here's how they describe that:

Special order from manufacturer:

This product is currently not stocked in our warehouse. We are unable to obtain a precise ETA from the manufacturer, however we are trying our best to confirm the ETA date. The product will be shipped as soon as the order is processed and inventory is replenished.

Now my question is where else should I look for Canadian deals??

Thanks,

TinCan

That is a good deal. I saw a $1700 laptop at costco that was
similar but I think it had less memory and a smaller
hard drive, and it was a Gateway.

The only Canadian online deal site that I know of is goldfishlegs.com

But I have used borderfree.com to get U.S. deals 3 times and it
works out great. They give you a final price including shipping,
tax, etc in Canadian dollars before you submit your order.
