Simple question, really:
If someone takes me to court (my landlord might take me to court because we disagree over the cost/circumstances of a repair of about $150 in damage) and I lose the dispute, what additional costs might I have to pay?
To make a long story short, I want to fight the landlord on this $150 charge, but I also don't want to end up with a $500 charge instead...
