Did Canada make their coins the exact size, shape and color as ours JUST to piss us off? Or did we copy them?

What's the deal there? Anyone know the history of it?

The term 'greenback' the US uses for their dollar actually came from Canada.
During the Civil war the military liked the new 'green ink developed by Canada and adopted it for the printing of their money.
Hence the new greenbacks 😉

I use an American quarter the other day here in Canada.... there really isn't a difference... they're all the same size.. and they are all worth the same amounts really (OK, we're only talking COINS)..

They're worth less, and they don't work in vending machines. I hate it when I get slipped a Canadian coin when I get change. They're sometimes hard to get rid of.
