My girlfriend just got a car that was originally sold in Canada, it's a 2002 Honda Accord. The speedometer and odometer are both in Kilometers. Is there any sort of insert / back panel I can buy to replace the one that's in there with MPH? Also, is there any way to change the digital odometer to miles? Thanks.

Well it does have the MPH underneath the KPH, but at night it's not lit up so she can't see how fast she's going.

If it's not digital with an option programmed in (either you can change it in the 'DIM', 'message center,' whatever; or there's a parameter the dealer can switch, possibly requiring a reprogramming)...you're kinda SOL.

Does a 2002 Honda NOT have a digital odo?

Learn that 80 is 50 and do not exceed 100 except on interstate.

Most people can control/judge their speed by tbe flow of traffic.

In time it will be memorized. Take a mental note of the main speeds or just do whatever everyone else is doing.

Get a cheap Garmin. It has a digital speedo.

See if the dealer can change the odo to miles. And check with the DMV.

My STI is a US market car (I'm canadian). It's a problem in theory only. After a couple days you don't even notice anymore.

might wanna check the legality on that car. cars brought from canada are supposed to be imported properly like if they were from any other country and brought to US standards before they are to be imported. usualy most Canada cars are close enough to US standards of the same car was made here. normaly just the speedo has to change to a MPH unit and the daytime running light may/may not have to be disabled. only reason i know im looking to buy a E46 BMW thats From Canada and its gonna need all that before i can have it here. hate to see her have unwanted issues because of it.
