Canadian border crossing question...

Recently my wife and I rode the ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria. It was the last ferry of the night. When we got to Canadian customs we were the only people stopped and searched, and I was asked about my criminal back ground.

I do have a felony as a juvenile (about 14 years ago) . Im not proud of it and Im not going to tell you what it is so dont ask.

My question is, what kind of info can they dig up on you with just a drivers licence?
It just seemed kind of funny that we were the only people stopped out of about 30.
They said it was just random, but I do not believe that.

Thanks

Either that or your wife is a hottie. Pics ?

My girlfriend lived in Port Angeles all her life until we met and she moved down to Portland, OR with me.

That is all.

You're questioning custom practices in Canada? Have you seen the kind of things the US side does?

I didnt have a problem with the US side, that was a breeze.

Isn't there some way to ask the courts to seal your criminal history after a certain amount of time. A pardon of sorts so it won't affect your ability to go across the border or get a job?
