Canadian anthem singer has a very blonde moment. +Another awful rendition tonight.

...Please tell me she was either drunk or on something. Not only did she forget the words (admittedly, I don't know the Canadian National Anthem either, but I'm from the USA), but her tone was horrible and inconsistent. Ouch.

Wow, 3 posts in and no "I would hit it". I'm disappointed ATOT.

I would hit it.

With a bucket.

For starting on the wrong line both times. She didn't even get the words that all Americans know.

Maybe I'm giving Americans too much credit. But at least 15% of us could get the first line.

you would think she would prepare a little by reading the words a few times before the performance.

I know them but I am married to a Canadian so I have a reason to.

Without googling I'm guessing it starts "O Canada"?

Maybe this will be some "humble pie"; I often listen to the radio in the morning and Josie Dye, is always dishing out gossip and other crap that nobody cares about.

Looks like this will keep her quite for a little while

Same here. I guess I've been to enough hockey games :)

Canadian Bacon was on last week, my wife looked at me like I was a Canadian double-agent when I started singing along with their anthem :sneaky:

I told her it's what happens when you watch enough hockey games--well, watched anyway...seems like TV usually skips the anthems nowadays.

I'm a big gear head and they play the Canadian anthem at all the race tracks around here because we're so close to the border we have tons of Canadian racers come down here. I think I learned the Canadian before our own because it's so simple and very melodic compared to ours.

In this day and age why wouldn't you have the anthem lyrics on your phone just in case you forget?
