Best country? Depends on your criteria.

If you like a climate closely replicated by your home freezer then I guess it's ok.;)

I go to Canada once or twice a year to go skiing - I live in the UK so its a bit further to travel.

I think its great, would even consider moving out there if there were any jobs in my field.

Most of the Canadians I've run into are decent people, and it's a nice place to visit

Yeah, twice we've beat the french back accross the plains of abraham and they still jam their guttural lamguage down our throats,
threaten to tear Canada asunder
and generally misbehave like a spoiled minority shouldn't.

Either go back to vive la france or stfu already!
leave us alone! ;) (no offence to any individual person-of-french-heritage, its the general idea I find distatsteful, and our esteemed leaders pander to it)

Were it not for rampant liberal socialism, I might actually still call her home...
its a great country filled with nice folks, otherwise.

Hey , I am a french canadian. Whats the deal?

are you serious?

Canada is the best. I know I live here.

Quoi?

A French guest who was staying in a hotel in Edmonton phoned room service for some pepper. "Black pepper, or white pepper?" asked the concierge.
"Toilette pepper!"

Jam gutural language down your troat? Wow. Well in that case I hope you choke on it. I think canada is great and that includes Quebec. For the record, I live hapily in Halifax and I cant stand the seperatists.

Looks like you dont know what you want. You dont like Quebecers but you want to live with them?

On average, the people there are more polite and considerate.
On average, response to an inferiority complex is overcompensation, as well.

But I do love the Hosers, all the same.

The American French-haters basically lumped the entire world's French population into one big 'ole group because France didn't support the Iraq war.

Oh, and Canada not supporting it might have had something to do with it too

Canadian + French = bad standing in the hearts of the Americans.

Ask yourself if you really care though ;)

That sums up my understanding of it. But I wanted to find out. Great comment, thanks.
