I love the USA
I don't always agree with the politics but I don't always agree with the politics in my own country so it doesn't matter.

Relations are going to be in the toilet when they and Mexico find out that we are starting a draft and sending troops there (see other ATOT thread).

I like the U.S, there is little difference between Americans and Canadians, spare those crazy southern bible thumper bush supporters.

Get rid of your president and you will be fine.

Voted "I want to annex Canada" .

War of 2012 FTW. We'll get it right this time, we've had two hundred years to get ready.
All your tundra belong to us.

Spoken like a true republican; ignorant as all hell.

he speaks partly the truth... it's like a socialist version of the US. obviously there are still other differences, but then again, many similarities

I was more concerned about the 'pvssy' comment.

well its not entirely false. canada can afford to not have a real military as they essentially depend on ours. if the sh*t goes down in the world its the us that has to step in. lets them fund social programs but also makes them bitter ig uess. sudan? genocide? they have to carp on the us for not doing something instead of sending in their own forces.:p

financially, i wish we could be them. because we're so damn socialist, it's impossible to get rich. it kind of works out though.

I've never had a problem with most Canadians. The ones who generalize and hate Americans are assholes anyway.

Vice-versa, too.

I like how you say "we" as you are speaking for your country, while you are really just speaking for yourself. You are just a person like anyone else who happened to be born in America, that doesn't mean you are special. Truth is, any American who hates Canada because of the "common" sterotypes are nothing more than an ignorant moron who can't think for themselves, someone who thinks of it more as a competition between two countries and doesn't really see things the way they are. The same thing goes for Canadians. Why does anyone really care anyways, why do Americans feel the constant need to reassure themselves that they are a super power? It's kind of like that "friend" everyone had when growing up who always felt the need to brag about everything they had, but no one really gave a sh!t. It's time that you guys start realizing that your opinion on this subject carries no weight. The rich control your country and they will do whatever they want to make more money and you can't stop them.

I've lived in both countries for a significant amount of time. To be honest, there really aren't all that many differences.

no one's denying that a Canadian army exists, but the overall strength of Canadian armed forces is paltry compared to other nations
