Canada Post is ON STRIKE beginning Monday

Just an FYI for those of you with parcels in transit to/from the Great White North. Also posted in FS/T.

Unless there are some major renegotiations today, Canada Post will be on strike as of Monday, July 21st. UPS and FedEx service should remain uneffected.

They are in strike to celebrate my going to Canada Monday for a fly-out fishing trip...err maybe not, but I know I'll be celebrating then.

The strike is called off for the time being (could be 5 mins, could be indefinetly). They are evaluating an offer.

Although, as a form of "protest" the workers are wearing <gasp> JEANS TO WORK INSTEAD OF THEIR UNIFORMS!!!!

That's going to make Canada Post management quake in their boots I'm sure.
