Canada Post and it's "delivery date"...

Dammit, got to vent a bit.

I'm ordering lots of stuff every year. From PC hardware to board games, books, etc. I mostly use UPS when I have the option since they always got on schedule and delivered at the promised date.

Now with 1 parcel out of 2 with Canada Post (after ordering approximately 40 items over the year), the item can be marked as "Out for delivery" for 2 days past the delivery date before being delivered...and even though the delivery date is scheduled for, let's say in today's example, TODAY...and even though the post dude did deliver letters and stuff here...I just can't understand how this can happen so often.

Anyways, i'm just a bit frustrated about CP service. You can call them and they'll answer but the person will simply tell you that they have the same information as you can find on their website...

They suck really...

Have a nice day! :)

I never have this problem, maybe it's a provincial/location thing?

Could be. The worst case was when I ordered some stuff from Ontario with Express shipping, paying 1.5x more. The package arrived 1 day later than the normal shipping...

Anyways, hope it get delivered tomorrow lest I don't know how i'll react...I need my new SSU robot for my Dust Warfare game of saturday lol...

I'm waiting for a package from NY, and I'm finding USPS isn't much better. It updates tracking info from the morning in the evening.

The delivery date is simply an estimate. It's normal to be off a few days. The thing I do like about Canada Post is that for me anyway, the packages go to Shopper's Drug Mart, which is open past 5 so if I work and I have a package I can easily go pick it up after work instead of scrambling to do it during my lunch.

I want to say something about Quebec, but the mere mention of it will suffice.

Oh, I did not notice Quebec. So this is an international package? Yeah it could be stuck at the Quebec border. :D

No, it was at the local facility and "on vehicule for delivery" yesterday morning.

I even got to the local facility and wow at the nothing she gave me...

Anyways, waiting to see if today is the D-Day...

And about the Quebec comments, you can throw them I don't give a damn. I'm not one of the separatists and for me, ill always live in Canada.

Sorry Rhezuss, the language police seized your parcel because there was English on it. Ici on parle francais! yeeehaw!

Jokes aside, and as much as it was... interesting, to provide support to CPC for their computer systems, I actually never have any problems using them. I always select the cheapest possible shipping with a tracking number, and deliveries are always very timely. I don't know if I've ordered quite as much as you throughout the year, but definitely 10+ items from various locations throughout Canada. Items from Ontario usually arrive in a day or two, and from BC usually 2-3 days.

Maybe your post office hates you? :D

Heheh yeah it's nothing life treatening but still annoying. If it was isolated cases I wouldn't be pissed about it but it's happening regularly. Anyways, as long as I receive it all will be good.

That's usually my record. However, I do have the benefit of being located very close to many of the major warehouses for stores like Amazon and sorting facilities. If the package is "shipped" from the store before 5pm, it usually gets here the next day.

Hehe don't worry, I just like to joke around. I actually like Quebec, they invented poutine. Vive la poutine! :D

Is there lot of storms going on in Quebec still and would the package have passed through there? I imagine that could delay things too.

No offense taken :)

Got the package today afterall...but I have another one that have the delivery date of today and sat "in transit" until this afternoon so too late (again) for the scheduled delivery.

Anyways...i'm still asking myself how this can happen so regularly on me..am I cursed? :p
