I'm not sure if I agree with this or not. At least they have a safe place to shoot their sh!t, but it almost seems that the government is appoving drug use. What do you Canadians think. Also, what is Canada's stance on drugs, in particular marijuana.
 
I think it's safer than them being out in the street doing it.....The sites will be supervised by police, so any out of hand people will be taken care of....That's a LOT safer than the idiots being out and getting out of hand and hurting other people...

Maybe the U.S. should wake up...

I mean, they're gonna do that anyway, so what can we do about it? I would have to know what kind of impact this has had in other countries before I make up my mind...



As for Canada's marijuana stance, its very relaxed compared to the US. There are plans to decriminalize it, but nothing definate yet.

 
If I was a druggy then I dont think I would want some the police watching over me when i was shooting up.

Well they aren't pioneers if Britain and other countries are already doing it. It must be working well there, so I guess they figure it should be alright in Canada. Remember Canada is the land of nice, quiet people. The druggies are nice, quiet druggies. This would cause riots if it were ever tried in NYC or LA! 😛

I'm curious as to how they would control trafficking at these sites. My guess is that you can bring your own, but the cops will arrest any dealers on the spot or in the vicinity.

I just thought they'd provide websites on how to safely take the stuff....physical places? I wouldn't like that.
 
Well it's like condoms in school and the message "Don't have sex, but if you must use these."

Still though this just sounds silly. Maybe we should just let the drug users kill themselves instead.
 
Hey I'm all for having Canada try out these social experiments. The USA can sit back and observe whether they work or not. If they do we can give implimentation of these programs some consideration and if they don't we can laugh at them and forget about making the same errors.
