Can you write in cursive?

We have to write the honor code in cursive before every test. It's about 3 sentences long, and you're lucky if you can make out a word or two after I write out the entire thing. I actually started substituting other words written very sloppily to see if they actually try to read those things.

Because I'm a dork, I actually looked it up. 😀 Obviously menopause comes from menstrual, and the etymology of that is:
[Middle English, from Old French menstruel, from Latin menstrualis, from menstruus, menstrual, from mensis, month.]

I had to write a sentence in cursive for the MCAT. Something about not cheating. Probably 15 words, tops, and it took me over a minute. 😱

I can write decently if I go slow enough, but if I'm writing in cursive I'm usually flying through it and it's not legible to anyone but me.

why did we even learn that stuff? half the time you can't read the other person's cursive handwriting and it didn't seem to increase my writing speed that much, just made it much harder to read. And now i don't even see people using it anymore

My handwriting is a mix of print and cursive. It's mostly print, but I link a lot of letters together.

I'd have to think to use straight cursive though as I haven't used it since grade school.

Yes, although mine ends up a hybrid most of the time, part print and part cursive.

I just wrote a quick sample of "The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog" in my native handwriting, strict cursive, and strict print and it was extremely hard to write both only cursive and only print.

The z screwed me up in cursive and it was difficult not connecting my t's and h's as well as my e's to the preceding letter.

If you're good at it, it should be quite a bit faster than printing.

But with computers, being able to write quickly is becoming less and less important.

I haven't had to use cursive since the 3rd grade. I can still sort of write in cursive, but I have forgotten a lot of letters. Now I just sort of morph the two styles together. Seems to work nicely
