Can you use Uber if you dont have internet on your phone?

got a coupon for $25 towards my 1st Uber ride.

my phone doesn't have data.
just voice + txt.

I can get on the internet via wifi but I doubt there's wifi on a street corner.

so b4 I waste my time downloading the Uber app, can someone w/o internet on his phone use Uber?

if so, how?

i believe it uses data and gps. they will also call you to let you know they're at the pickup location

AFAIK, you need internet to request the car (and track it if you are so inclined), but don't need it to pay, etc. They text, call, or the app sends a message when they arrive.

Not a big deal to only have WiFi when requesting your ride out but might be tough when you need a ride back.

You need internet for sure. But you could use WIFI
