Can you use the bigger case screws to mount the mobo onto the brass raisers?

I think maybe the "correct" way of mounting the mobo onto the raisers are using those smaller "plus" head screws (The ones used for mountaing floppy, hard drives, and optical drives)... but I didn't have enough of those, and they seemed too wobbly for this motherboard I'm using. So instead, I just used those bigger case screws (still plus) to screw the motherboard, and it seemed to did the job. Can you also mix and match? I only had one of those smaller ones, and plenty of the bigger "case' screws, so I used a combination of those. Is this okay? It seems much more stable with the case screws, however.

Some motherboard brackets accept the smaller screws, some use the bigger ones, So whatever works, just make sure that the heads of the screws aren't overlapping the safty zones around the screw holes, and shorting out any circuitry on your board.

Also its called "Philps Head" not "Plus" ;)

Ah, so there really is no definitive "default" screw type. I guess the moral of the story is just use any screw type that works and fits, and is stable, as long as it protrude those outer circle layers (safety zones?)... What happens if you have screws that are exactly the same size? I think some of my philips bigger case screws are exactly the same size as the circle zones, although they aren't protruding outside, but yeah...

I've messed up a mobo before, when the outer part of the screw was bigger than the safety circle, and it cut into two of the traces on the motherboard, shorting them out. So yeah, bad things happen.

Ah, well I've been using the comp for quite some time now, I guess I'm okay now? Does it usually happen, if you accidently went over the safety circle, happen really fast like right after you boot up?

Most mobo mounts use the no. 6 screws (case scews) the lands around the holes in the mobo are plenty big these days - the metric screws that are used in FDs, opticals, etc. would be very loose in a #6 hole and a #6 screw would be tough to put in an M3 threaded hole w/o a lot of forcing. The only problem might be the length.
