Can you use scsi and ide on the same computer?

Can scsi be used at the same time as ide in the same computer off one motherboard?

yep, you can, like stated above... just add a scsi/ide card (not both, only the one you dont already have) and your set. In fact, lots of people run IDE for storage and keep OS/frequently used apps/swap/and other stuff on scsi...

They're right..Get an X15 Seagate Cheetah for the OS and apps, put your pics, music, documents and crap on the IDE and you'll be smokin' fast !

Yeah that is what I was going to do, but I didn't know that you could!! That is great because scsi is currently way faster than ide hdd's. Thanks. Oh and if I got the msi k7 master scsi (this one MSI K7Master-S (6341-S) : PC266, AMD Duron/Tbird, ATA100, ATX, 2DDR/5P/AGP4x/4USB, AC97, DDR-PC2100, U160 scsi) would ide work on it as well or would I have to add an ide card (do they make those?)

Sometimes there is a problem getting the SCSI drive to boot first because IDE drives take precedence but most current BIOS's allow you to select SCSI first in boot options.
