can you use pc2100 and pc3200 together in a motherboard?

If your CPU runs at the 133/266 FSB, then sure, it's OK. But if your CPU runs faster than that, the PC2100 won't work.

the cpu is amd 2200xp which i believe can only be operated at 266fsb

so i guess it would be ok?

You need to run the RAM on 133 MHz. The CPU bus speed may or may not have a say on this. That depends on what your particular board and its chipset are capable of.

Just look what RAM bus speed options you have with that 133 MHz CPU ... 133 MHz RAM will be among them, so much is for sure.

So altogether, the answer is Yes. At 133 MHz, PC2100 standard. The PC3200 capable RAM will be a tad bored, but it'll cooperate.
