Can you use Mac mice on PC's?

I like the idea of the little scroll ball too... what sort of mouse drivers are used if you wish to use on a PC though?

I've used that regular one click mouse on my laptop. I didn't have any drivers to install save whatever installed when i plugged it into my USB port.

I heard that the mightymouse wouldn't function quite correctly in windows you wouldn't be able to do diagnal scrolling (or mouse look)? though i dont remember enough to say for sure.

btw 50 dollars is a lot for a wired mouse which you can't use 50% of the functionality on is a lot, no?

I'm currently using a Mighty Mouse on XP, I spent 29 bucks on it because I had a coupon for $15 off @ Apple.

It works perfect.

I never thought I would hear that phrase in my lifetime. I wonder how many people are rolling in their graves...
Tas.

So the little scroll ball works alright in XP then?

the review i read said the scroll ball has limited functionality in XP. No diagnal scrolling. Personally I'll wait for a bluetooth version, if i even get one.

Mac mice have worked on PCs ever since Apple switched from ADB to USB. When their "buttonless" optical mouse came out about 4 years ago they were stolen like crazy from stores and school computer labs because they looked different. Nowadays nobody wants a one button mouse, I know some college computer technicans that recently dug out the original Apple mice to replace a bunch of stolen Logitech MX510 mice from a lab of Apple G5s. Because Apple keyboards have a little USB hub in them, most people just plug the mouse into the keyboard -- which makes the mice REALLY easy to steal. The solution? Use a one button Apple mouse and nobody will steal 'em anymore!
