Can you use dual channel memory in a board that doesn't support dual channel?

I mean will it just work like two sticks of single channel memory would in that board, or will it not work at all?

Uh... Correct me if I'm wrong, but since when has there been a discrepancy between single channel and dual channel RAM? Two sticks of single channel memory (in the same size, speeds and preferably at the same timings) means dual channel...

If your board doesn't support dual-channel, it will only support all the RAM with a single-channel interface. The speed, capacity and timings of the RAM remains just the same as in dual-channel mode.

GREAT!

I've ben building computers for YEARS but this DDR and Dual channel stuff is still pretty new to me. I treat my computers like my cars I run them until the wheels fall off and then I run them some more. Most of my computers are still runnning SDRAM and I still drive a 1972 VW Squareback. ;)

Thanks for the help and the QUICK replies!

(I owe you a free joke!) ;)
