Popped in finding nemo last night to my TV and I ran the THX test for the hell of it. I couldnt believe how off my TV was! Now my DVDs look frickin amazing! Would the THX disk in theory make my monitor look better as well, by having me adjust the color and brightness levels?

The THX test will likely make your movies look better but it sets everything very bright and your eyes will tire faster if you're looking at black text on a bright white background.

The THX optimizer does not make everything "brighter" and whatnot. If anything, it turns downd the high contrast and brightness that TV sets usually come as from the factory.
