Can you use a good case fan for a CPU fan?

I would think so, since a case fan has more cfm than the regular cpu fan. I want to use it on an Athlon XP 1700+ w/ some moderate overclocking. I got it at SVC.com its a blue led fan that puts out 33CFM... anyone have anyexperience?

sure, i know a few people who use coolermaster neon series LED fans on their slk800

(i hope u mean a case and a heatsink and not JUST a case fan)

yeah, I'll keep the stock heatsink on there ( it looks pretty robust! ) and I'll attatch the case fan somehow....

i used one on an sk-7 for a while

temps were over 50C (see my first rig)

brought the temps down 10C with a better fan that pushed more CFM, was a panaflo, think H1A (48cfm or something like that)

should work fine for just moderate ocing though
