Can you use a gift card to buy another gift card?

I was just thinking... I have $50 in gift cards to a store that I know sells gift cards to other stores that would be far more useful to me (home depot? lowes?)

Anyone know if you can do this?

I don't see why not - they should honor the gift card like they do other methods of payment for items in the store - which includes the gift cards
