Barnes and Noble gaming section online takes you to Gamestop, so I guess Gamestop distributes all the games that B&N sell online.
I recently put money to preorder Guitar Hero II and realized that I have a B&N gift card. I guess I can just buy it from B&N site, but since I've already placed a preorder, can I use the gift card at Gamestop since they're affiliated?

Gamestop split off from B&N in November 2004, they're now a separate entity. I don't think they take B&N gift cards anymore. Have you considered that it would be faster to just phone Gamestop instead of writing a thread about it?

What is was, Gamestop was a wholly owned subsidiary of B&N. Gamestop bought EB, and then B&N split off Gamestop as a different company. In all of this they moved HQs away from Grapevine, TX.
