To be honest, i dont really know.
can you upgrade a laptop? namely, add ram and maybe a newer/better vid card.

yes its very possible I think its a little more difficult then PC but yes its very possible

RAM and hard drive are your two easiest upgrades since they're standardized and usually easily accessible.

Videocard, it depends on the notebook. Some yes, most no. Even those that don't have their GPU soldered, price-wise, aren't worth upgrading and your options are VERY limited.

I upgraded the hard drive on my laptop 30GB 4200RPM to a 60GB 5400RPM w/ 8MB Cache and the memory from the 128MB stick to the 512MB

I think only really hd and memory. i bet you could do processor but really its not worth it laptops are nice but it seems like its a waste of money.

OOBradm, yes it is possible. It is very likely that you will be able to upgrade the RAM, and not so likely that you will be able to upgrade the video card.

What kind of laptop do you have? Who is the manufacturor? What model? How much RAM does it currently have? What video card does it currently have?

Answers those questions, and we can probably get you more info! :)

Easily? Yes if it only involves the ram and hdd. Otherwise, you'd be better off buying a new laptop if you want to upgrade the video card or the cpu.

@Jiggz, most of the time that is the case, yes. However, some models do make it sort of easy to upgrade the CPU and the video card. As soon as OOBradm posts his what laptop he has, we'll know for sure.
