Can You Turn Off the Auto-Dim Feature with this TV?

I have pretty much decided that I am going to buy this TV. However, I noticed that, when I was watching it in the store, it got dim when the screen was dark, and got rid of the dim when the screen was brighter. I don't like this! Is there any way to disable the auto-dimming feature?

it seems like there is a setting for "eco sensor" which is the auto-dimming feature

that manual is for several samsung TVs
a search for "eco sensor" turns up the 5000 series has a on/off setting for that

Probably, its been on TVs for 30 years or so.
