Can you turn digital files into film?

I know I have heard of it being done but I can't find the company or companies that do it. Has anyone had this done or know of an online place that does it?

Um, pics you mean?

Just go to a drug store or wal-mart and use their machine to print out the ones you want.

first id have to ask why beacuse it seems pointless

and yes there is a way but its not great, you basically have to make a print of the image and then dupe it back onto a slide, or take a pic of the projection in a clean room,

I know Kodak offered a service where you can turn prints into negatives, I don't know if they had anything for digital.

do a search for "film recorder"

Very few places have equipment that will produce a high quality reproduction, however, so you may need to shop around a fair bit and send some samples out, depending on your needs.

I've had it done when making glass slides for high-power projectors. Aardvark Graphics, I think, was the service house I've used. If you're doing a digital intermediary or wanting to go from high-def video to 35mm film, G.W. Hanaway will do that out here in the Denver area. I'm sure lots of labs will do that in CA and NY.

I've also got an older machine (Montage, I think it's called) that produces 35mm still-picture negatives from digital images.

Why am I doing it?

Because I am taking a photography class at school and I like to take all my pictures with a digtal camera. i still need negatives however to trick the teacher into thinking i shot the pics with black and white film and so that i can use the negatives to manipulate them in the dark room with the enlarger.

yes essentially the whole point of this is to cheat in my photograhy class but still i could see many real uses for this as well.

a darkroom is easier to use than photoshop for some poeple and to be able to turn digital files into negatives would allow for you to manipulate those imagines in the darkroom under an enlarger instead of in photoshop.

thats the stupidest thing ive ever heard

you can get a film camera and a lens for 100$ and film is like 3$ a roll, itll cost you 100X that to do what you want, and it will take forever

if you wanna shoot digitally take DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY not FILM PHOTOGRAPHY
