Prep?

That sounds like emo or another sterotypical pussified group.

If you knew anymore about women, you might just be one ;)
The people you have to worry about start YAGT's about how their cheating whore of a girlfriend wants to break up with them and they want to know if it is ok to forgive her and beg her to come back.

It's just writing, who cares? It's not a survival skill. People won't die if you are sloppy.

I always print my letters, because depending on how fast I write, my cursive can look very sloppy. I'm one of those people who honestly don't give a sh!t. Now, if you want to pay me money, I'll make the best looking letters you want. With typing and the universally easier to understand printing, why do we even bother with cursive for anything beyond signatures? That's why we use it for signatures, its easier to manipulate and make unique - hence easier to misunderstand or be illegible.

I'm a guy. I don't give a sh!t how my hair looks, how my penmanship is, and a lot of other useless crap that some people worry about every day. If we weren't living in such a cushy lifestyle, none of this crap would matter, just keep that in mind. Realize whats really important. I think the message counts, whenever I write something, lets say a paper for a professor, it's usually sloppy but also the smartest thing written. I'm sorry if it's hard to read, but you wouldn't let me type it.

I always believed women have better fine motor skills then men and this attributes to better penmenship for the women.

Because from young girls are used to writing "like girls". Look at a middle school or high school girl's writing. It will most likely be big and flowerly, and obnoxious. It's a cultural thing and has nothing to do with fine motor skills.

I went to a Catholic school until 4th grade. In the Catholic school, they actually had penmanship class so we're all real good with it. I moved to a public school and people kept commenting how good my penmanship was. Ummm, I really don't care about it but it's just how I learned it.

So even though I have good handwriting, it doesn't mean I care more about it than other guys... if you learned it that way, that's how you'll write.

My wife has always had bad handwriting. I doubt you'd be able to tell if it were male/female. And I agree with DrPizza about it being better in the past. With computers everywhere, writing is a lost art. I honestly can't remember the last time I had to write something out longer than a Hallmark Card.

Went to Private school till 4th grade as well. I was reading at an 9th grade level and teachers kept on commenting on my penmanship. It was only because of private school. It was quite intensive and I wouldn't have changed schools except I moved. I got extremely lazy in Public school. Too easy.

If handwriting is a "lost art", I still don't think thats a bad thing. Why use an inferior method of conveying a message when better alternatives exist? Just because its "classy" to some means absolutely nothing to me...

Not directing that at you, just society in general.

Its long been said that poor penmanship is a sign of intelligence. Draw your own conclusions.
