Whats the circular copper thing?? This is a gateway LCD and it'll stay on for about 5-6secs and then shut off. I hit the power button off/on and it'll come back on for another 5-6secs...thinking this might be the problem.
Its the only piece i can see that even remotely looks damaged.
Its got some corrosion around the copper wiring, thinking about de-soldering and getting that corrosion off and replacing it.
Dunno what that thing is though, does it hold some kinda charge for the LCD?? Would make sense with it turning off after a bit.
