Can you tell me how to fix my cell phone?

It's a 90 day old Samsung SGH-T209 for a prepaid T-Mobile account. This is my third cellphone and I don't use it much.

I grabbed it today and tried to use it, none of the buttons work except the on/off switch. Key in a phone number, nothing, try to acccess other features, nothing. I've turned the phone on and off many times to see if it would correct itself, nothing, I've even removed the battery and reinserted, nothing. The phone has not been dropped or handled roughly.

Any ideas? Is there a keypad lock engaged? Any similar stories?

this is kind of a sketchy solution, but usually with key locks 911 still works... so you can try dialing 911 and see if it goes...but quickly end the call if it seems like it's working...if you get thru to dispatch tell them you're testing your fcuked phone

911 test completed. Those keys fail to function.

Maybe the keys are stuck. You probably have to go bring it in or take it apart yourself and see for yourself.

Side story: This girl came up to me in class because her screen wasn't working. She said that the whole class said that I knew how to fix things. So she is showing it to me and this screen is dead. She is like ?. I'm like I cannot fix this, you need to replace the screen. Go back to Verizon and see if it is under warranty. She still doesn't understand. So I finally say, "There is nothing I can do because I do not carry around spare LCDs for random phone models around." You need to go to Verizon and get this fixed.

It's certainly got some kinda warranty. I'd like to fix it myself, but maybe that's not going to happen.

I'm going to try Wal-Mart in a few hours and try to swap it out for the same from a carded pack. Then they can return it to their vendor.
