Can you ship alcohol through the mail???

A friend of mine is turning 21 this weekend. Can I ship him alcohol through the mail or UPS or Fed Ex?

Should be OK. I received a few bottles of my favorite German beer (which I can't get here in Colorado) from Germany a year ago.

Depends on the quantity and strength. A quart or so of Everclear is ORM-D since its flammable, but a gallon of it have to be sent as haz-mat

I know there are a lot of taxes and politics involved with direct shipping of alcohol across state borders. But if your friend is in the same state, you should have no problem.
