Can you set default folder views in XP?

Is there a way in Windows XP, so that every folder I open will have its icons in List view? I prefer the List view compared to Tiles, Thumbnails and Details. But I have to set it manually on ever folder. Sometimes it remembers the folder view for next time, but not always.

Can you set a view by default for every folder you open. I want all my icons to display as lists in every folder.
 
Open a folder windows, any folder. Click Tools > Folder Options. Click the View tab. Click the "Apply to All Folders" button.
